The report from 2019 indicated that the average spend on a wedding in the UK was a whopping £31,974! This was a decrease of £299 from 2018!
The biggest expenses are as follows…
1) Venue (average cost of £5,406)
2) Honeymoon (average cost of £4,645)
3) Food (average cost of £3,887)
4) Engagement Ring (average cost of £2,419)
5) Drink (average cost of £1,587)
Some couples financed the extravagance by using personal savings, with 1 in 5 putting expenses on a credit card and 1 in 10 taking out a loan. Over half used the bank of Mum and Dad.

1 in 10 couples announced their engagement on social media within an hour of getting engaged, with a further third announcing within 24 hours.

From a three-course meal, buffet, hog roast or something completely unique, the average spend on food for a wedding was £3,887! This does not include the £292 cake.
From a welcome drink, toast drink, table wine to an open bar, the average spends on drinks for a wedding day totalled £1,587.
With our fingers buffets starting from £8.00 per person, hot fork buffets from £12.00 per person and formal dinners from £20.00 per person, we have a great range of affordable menus for our guests. A bottle of house wine will set you back £12.50 per bottle, and we have a fully stocked bar of very reasonably priced drinks.
